ClimeCo Promotes Yohei Shimasaki To Chief Financial Officer
ClimeCo is pleased to announce the promotion of Yohei Shimasaki to Chief Financial Officer. Over the last three years, ClimeCo has experienced exponential business growth, which has allowed Shimasaki the opportunity to take ownership of ClimeCo’s financial structure and advance it to meet the next wave of business expansion.
“Since joining ClimeCo, Yohei has made significant contributions to the company, taking on increasing scope and responsibilities and leading the transition of the financial organization as we grow and add new services and markets,” says Derek Six, Chief Operating Officer of ClimeCo. “Yohei’s experience as a CPA and his dedication to customer service will help ClimeCo provide our clients and stakeholders with timely and accurate information. He is passionate about our business vision and the company’s mission to provide a comprehensive set of market-based solutions to tackle critical environmental challenges.”
As CFO, Shimasaki will be responsible for all accounting and financial functions, including the corporate treasury and budgetary forecasting. He has experience across multiple aspects of finance, accounting, and tax, including financial statements, financial analysis, attestation, consolidation, US GAAP implementation, tax returns and provision, transfer pricing, and related party transactions and internal controls both at a public accounting firm and a global financial institution. Additionally, Shimasaki is a certified public accountant and a fluent Japanese speaker.
“I am honored to be stepping into the CFO role at ClimeCo,” says Shimasaki. “At such a pivotal time in the environmental sector, I couldn’t be more excited to contribute to our firm’s leadership. Working with such a talented and high-performing team has been a privilege, and I’m thrilled about our future growth. I’m grateful to both my colleagues and our clients and can’t wait to kick off the next leg of this mission together.”
Shimasaki earned his Master of Business Administration from Cornell University, S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, and his Bachelor of Science from Dickinson College. His academic and professional knowledge and resources in finance and accounting have lent significant value to ClimeCo’s reporting and analysis, increasing decision making and access to additional liquidity.
